How it works & how to apply it

An overhead door seals well across the middle and badly at the corners, where the seal curves and wears. Almost every garage rodent problem starts at those two corners. The connecting wall to the house is the second half of the job.

1·2·3 How to apply it

Close the door and look for light at the bottom corners from inside a darkened garage.
Brush the corner pockets and up the base of each jamb by about a foot.
Treat the threshold of the side door and the base of its jamb.
Finish with the sill line and any penetrations on the wall shared with the house.

✓ Things to consider

A worn or curled bottom seal should be replaced. The coating supports a good seal, it does not substitute for a bad one.
The gel dries clear, so it will not show on a painted jamb or a finished slab.
Store pet food, bird seed and grass seed in sealed bins. Otherwise you are baiting the room you just treated.

✕ Things to avoid

Do not coat the moving rubber face of the door seal or the door track and rollers.
Do not apply across the floor where people and cars pass over it.
Do not treat around the photo-eye safety sensors at the base of the track.
